If I'm correct in assuming Bipolar 2 is characterized by hypomania, then the treatment would be to get perscribed antidepressants.
SSRIs have been shown to have mood stabilizing abilities, as well as improving depressive episodes.
The best advice I can give is to keep taking medication, and try to find an outlet for the hypomanic episodes, as they will probably still occur on medication.
Antidepressants aren't a cure for depression, they give you the time to try and learn how to live with it, avoid trigger situations, etc.
If you play sport, or have a similar hobby, then this could make for a good outlet to the frustration you feel in a hypomanic phase
