Earning money quickly is hard to do, but when you say "earn", do you mean trading hours for dollars? If so then use your best skills to do one or more of several things, depending upon your toolbox. Everyone has a toolbox and they all have some tools that are sharp and others they haven't yet pulled out of the box. The trick is to inventory what you have to offer and make a plan. And be willing to work hard and become uncomfortable.

Assuming one has a solid education and experience, work can be had at the top. Fewer people apply for the better jobs because they lack confidence. The requirements can be waived for those with enough wit, energy and moxie. There is a demand for visionary managers, genius engineers and all medical personnel that has not ever been satisfied. CEO's earn up to 5 figures per hour. If you cannot get a high paying job, then you must secure for a job that pays tips. Bartending, serving food and drink, and other positions pay tips, and some can pay over $1000/wk in tips. This requires you to have no real education, but you must present yourself well and those who are people people and work people at the same time will do well right out of the gate. If you are not fit enough or motivated enough to work hard with a constant smile, choose something else.

There are a few skilled labor positions that pay very well in the construction industry.

There are other ways; technical commodities trading is very profitable for those with charting skills and a few bucks to invest (e.g. Ken Roberts), and the Stock Market is ripe for the sharpest day traders as well. Other ways to turn a profit for those with a bit of seed capital is parimutual betting. Those who know the ponies or pooches can win at the track consistently.

For those with no skills, no education, no fitness, or no seed capital, legal means of earning may not exist in the US.
