Here is some advice from FAQ Farmers:
- Good luck. I'm a cop in Northern San Diego County and I know your frustration with the system regarding this issue. We deal with it all the time. The immigration laws are a JOKE. There always seems to be some loop hole or new mandate that allows for the Border Patrol not to accept an illegal detainee. I would suggest just calling a supervisor with the Border Patrol or writing your local congressman with your concerns.
- If none of the agencies care, it's probably because the guy has no criminal record. Although he is breaking a law by being in the country illegally, he is not the worst criminal in the world, and the government had a hard enough time protecting people from violent criminals. You might try a "live and let live" attitude. Also, remember that you could be trying to deport someone's father or husband.
>>>>> You can't, unless the illegal immigrant has committed a crime, usually aggravated felonies(murder, domestic violence, sexual assualt(sex offenders), etc) or crimes involving moral turpitude and they have actually been convicted of these crimes. Immigration law is very complex and deportation is not as easy as it seems.
