Diseases and disorders can be caused by congenital malformations or birth trauma. Diseases and infections can be secondary to injury and trauma. Organs and body systems can be affected by toxins and poisons and they can cause organ malfunction or total failure and result in associated diseases and disorders. The the list could go on forever. When you look at all of the things that can kill you, it is a wonder we make it for more than a year, but we do thanks to the adaptations and disease fighting properties of our amazing bodies.
