How can you get out of denial?

Answer:
Denial is a multifaceted situation that sounds easier to overcome than it actually is -- by a long shot. It is not usually something that we can work through on our own, because we have too much emotional turmoil to be able to consider it clearly.

We suggest either a self-help group like Codependents Anonymous, or a counselor who is familiar with relationship problems. Avoid friends and clergy. They tend to have their own agendas that will not necessarily correspond with what is best for you, although they would most likely mean well.
