The best way to help kids is to donate money in any charity foundation. It doesn't matter if the kids get gifts, the money you will give them will help them get new clothes and some food and it will help them in schools. Basically this is a gift from you to them.

****You need to watch where you are giving ur money if you are going to do this giving it to the salvation army or some places kids don't get the money or food.

Give carefully used items to familys who can't afford toys.

A: You can also help really needy families by giving life changing gift certificates (such as a goat for a 3rd world family). This not only helps to spread a wonderful good feeling, but helps reduce the amount of 'junk' gifts cluttering up their houses (and the planet!). B. A simple way to help the poor, needy or starving is to donate food. When you give money you never know what there going to spend it on. Usually during christmas time local large supermarkets are holding can food drives. And the cans are pretty cheap to and ur feeding hungry familys instead of just buying gifts for them. Also, takeing a visit to homeless shelters and donating food or money also helps out alot. If your feeling generous you can also go to a childrens cancer research hospital or one of those things and donate a few dollars.

One year we brought care packages to families in the pediatric intensive care unit on christmas eve. Nobody wants to spend christmas eve in a hospital watching their children fight for life. We brought food, toys for the kids, and a box for the parents. The box included some inspirational book, a notepad and pen if they needed to write, a pack of tissues, chocolate, and little felt sheep for counting. (just a cute little idea to remind them they needed sleep to take care of themselves) There were starburst for "a burst of energy" some glue to "hold yourself together" rubberbands to use when they've been "stretched too far" a flashlight when the future seems "too dark" and one of those inflatable neck rests. Just a thought! The idea could be changed for whoever needed it, things added or removed, whatever seems necessary!
