How can you increase your Metabolism? |
Answer
There are so many ways you can increase you metabolism. A few tricks I use are:
- Drinking 10-16 cups of water.
- Eating small meals every 2-3 hours.
- Eating breakfast within an hour after waking up.
- I take a lot of vitamins. Co-Enzyme Q10, B12, and a B-complex all help boost metabolism, but you should also be taking a multivitamin.
- I take 1800 mg of Fish Oil because studies have shown that it will help you lose weight faster.
- Exercising in the morning will help boost your metabolism all day long. I like to exercise before breakfast because many people say it will burn 3 times as many calories then doing it after you eat. Although, this fact has not yet been proven.
- You should be having no less than 1000 calories a day. Anything less and you metabolism will drop.
-
Do some type of aerobic exercise (walking, jogging, swimming, stationary cycling, aerobics, etc.) on a daily basis for 30 to 60 minutes.
-
Do another 15 to 30 minutes of aerobic exercise in the evening, five days per week. This will make your metabolism soar.
-
Do weight training six days per week.
-
Try to incorporate interval training into most of your aerobic sessions. This will really boost your metabolism. An interval means adding a brief stint of 1 minute aerobic activity every 10 minutes into your regular exercise routine.
-
Eat protein in every meal.
-
Consider cutting back on starchy carbohydrates (corn, potatoes, chick peas, yams, and squash). Cut back on refined breads and crackers.
-
Don't have any trans-fat.
-
Try not to have any high fructose corn syrup.
-
Eat 3 hours before you go to bed.
-
Eat a lot of fruits and veggies. You should try to have 6-10 servings a day.
I hope I've helped. Let me know if you have any questions.
