How can you inexpensively make a truck sound like it has more power than it does? |
Answer
you can go with a flowmaster exhaust system - makes it sound like a hot rod
I put a flowmaster exhaust system on my V6 1993 extended cab silverado and it made it sound like a V8. For performance you can replace your old air filter with a K&N performance air filter and it will increase gas mileage and over all performance. Read the directions on the air filter because you do not replace them. You clean them with the cleaning kit.

Answer
You want to start with atleast a 2" system. at the motor you want a set of headers, followed by high-flow Cats. of you car is pre-emission then just go with dual exhaust and glasspacks, they get louder as they get older. if you have anything stock, forget exhaust sound. at the end put a tip that is slightly larger than your exhaust tubing such as 2" tubing to a 3" to 3 1/2" tip, it will gve the exhaust sort of an echo that makes it alot deeper.
Answer
Well you could do like we all do here in Georgia..you could get up under neath your truck and find the cats and just cut the ppe and take it all out, it will sound loud as hell and turn heads everywhere you go.
