How can you install linux and window xp on one hard drive?

[Edit]

When you say one 'one hard drive', you mean one partition? Then only option is to use Virtual Machine. If you save Virtual Machine's harddisk on your root partition (i.e. 'C:' for Windows or '/' for Linux) of your system, they will be practically installed on the same partition. Otherwise it is impossible to since each of those operating systems is using different filesystem formats. Search: 'dual boot windows linux' for installing them to different partitions on the same hard drive.
