If some how they are getting in try to completely secure your garden so they can no longer get in. This way they do not go to the toilet in your garden. make sure that you don't have anything to hurt the cat, so when proofing your garden make sure there is nothing sharp that could hurt it.

∙ 13y agoIf you have a cat problem, you could try a fence, or a dog but this isn't always the best solution. Cats will surely come over a fence if they want to. And dogs can't be outside 24 / 7....

If it is in flower pots, put some wire around the outside of the pot or rocks on the top of the soil, anything that would make it impossible for a cat to scratch up the dirt.
If it is outside, like in a garden, you can put rocks on it or there might be some sour spray that is non-toxic that you can spray on the soil (can always sniff before they poo).
