you SHOULD NOT use cedar shavings for your guinea pig because they cedar shavings give off fumes the are toxic to guinea pigs and eventually suffacte them! you should apply BLACK AND WHITE newspaper on the bottom of the cage, and then your bedding on top of that.
The best type of "made" bedding would be shredded "yesterdays news" newspapers! Although some wood chips can be suitable, just avoid pine, this can lead to liver damage to your guinea pig later on in life!

Yes, humans can eat guinea pig treats. However, if you eat enough of them, you will probably get sick.
The biggest impression you can make on your guinea pig I would think for sure would be when they are young. After that you can only do so much. But make sure that you try to never startle your guinea pig (running by it's cage or grabbing it suddenly etc.) and you can give him/her treats from your hand to help him/her understand that your not going to hurt them. Make sure that you take them out often and when you are picking them up try to stroke them first and not pick them up all of a sudden.
It is spelled "guinea pig". You got it right! :)
The phenotype of the black guinea pig is black, and the pheno type of the white guinea pig is white.
go into 4h and they do guinea pig showing for all ages

If you are petting the Guinea Pig while giving treats to him,he maybe pushing your hands to eat the treat. But,if you are simply petting and he keeps pushing your hand,it means that he doesn't like you petting him too much. But,he is not afraid of you.Other Guinea pigs make distress and will make squealing when they don't like handling or petting. But,this Guinea Pig is more smarter and he had a good experience with you.
Yes you can get a guinea pig from a friend. Make sure the guinea pig is healthy first. To See if a guinea pig is healthy you look at its eyes and nose make sure there is no goop around the nose or eyes. ♥
You can get it out by giving it treats. Let them see and smell the treats and get them to walk out. They may also be hiding from you, so let them smell your hand and talk to it to get it more familiar to you. If something else is scaring it, remove it before trying to get the guinea pig to come out.
MAke a maze out of cardboard and have your guinea pig run through it.
No it can not. Corn is unhealthy for guinea pigs, so it can not be used as feed. Try timothy hay and guinea pig pellets with treats of fruits and vegetables. Do not make the mistake of using corn for guinea pigs.
my guinea pigs adore rollinis. you can get them from pets at home but they aren't hand made, if that's what you meant. if you don't feed them lettuce or dandelion leaves often they are often good
