How can you make your Android phone work again if it has been dropped in water?

Turn your phone off and leave it alone for a long time until all of the water is dried out of it, because if it is left on while wet you can fry it. After the insides are all dry, when you turn it one, it might still work. This happened to someone I know, and they're phone still works after doing this, and it happened to them over a year ago.

∙ 13y agoWell, if you drop your phone in water, take the battery out right way, otherwise your phone is done for.
Things you can do to fix your phone.- Put your phone in some uncooked rice for a couple of hours. The uncooked rice will soak up all the water in your phone
- Blow-dry the back of your phone when all the components(battery, back cover, etc.) are out. Do this for a couple of minutes on low power. Put your battery back in and see if it works, if it still doesn't, take the battery back out and blow-dry it some more. This method worked for me.
- (Proven for Apple products) Take your phone and but it in a toaster oven on a piece of tin foil. this will do the same thing as the hair dryer, but it's risky because you don't have as much control over it as the hair dryer.
If all these methods don't work for you, then you should buy a new phone.

∙ 14y agoIf you get your cell phone out of the water quick. And immediately sling out any excess water. Then hold it under a hair drier for about 15 to 20 minutes. This will usually work.
