How can you prevent Windows from automatically locking an idle workstation or how can you adjust the duration of the idle time before Windows locks the workstation Thanks a lot in advance.?

In: Windows

Answer

I believe you solve this by adjusting the screensaver settings. The option "On resume, password protect" may be what you're talking about. By unchecking this, you won't have to login to bring it back from the screensaver. Otherwise, check the power restrictions (also in the screensaver area) and extend or make "Never" the time until the computer goes on Standby or turns off the hard drive/monitor and see if that helps. You will always have to sign back on when the computer wakes up again, but you can tell it how long to wait before it sleeps. Hope this helps!
