How to remove scratches from a CD
I know it can be very annoying when you get a scratch on your favorite CD. A good way to remove them is by using a soft cloth and regular colgate toothpaste. I know it sounds bizzare but it works!!! Squeeze a small amount of toothpaste on to your cloth and then rub it in a circular motion over the CD. Then take another soft damp cloth to remove the excess toothpaste. You will have a new CD!! Also, using vodka in the same way helps.
I saw a demonstration on my computer where chewing gum was used which seemed to eliminate all of the scratches on the disk.
If you don`t want to lose information on your favourite CD it should be better for you to make a copy of it. I have many CDs with scratches and I tried to remove them in many ways but no one of my efforts finished successfully. So try to be more carefull with CDs and then you will not need any help in removing of scratches.
But one thing you can not use is mentadent or crest toothpastes they will not work.
You can also use a highlighter over the sratched surface then wipe it off with a peice of toilet paper or soft cloth and go over it again with a damp piece of cloth or toilet paper.
