Sex. Ejaculate is a known cervix-softener, as it contains high amounts of testosterone. Also, orgasm can cause uterine contractions. Include nipple stimultation, and you're good to go! HOWEVER, I would recommend waiting another week or 2 JUST TO MAKE SURE you are at the gestational age considered "full term" since sometimes the doctors are wrong when they calculate a "due date".
Well, the most natural thing I know to help induce labor is walking, and orgasms or intercourse. Here is a link that will give you a whole list of things that can help to naturally induce labor: * http://pregnancychildbirth.suite101.com/article.cfm/tired_of_being_pregnant
If you are looking for safe and effective, painless way to induce labor at home then maternity acupressure may be for you. Check out this website, http://yourmaternityresource.com/category/maternityacupreesure/ I bought the book, only $29 and it worked great, well worth the cost of the book. I was 41 weeks along, the best part it actually helped reduce the pain of labor and it was well worth the cost of the book to finally meet my beautiful baby boy. I would suggest that you check with your OB/GYN before trying to induce labor at only 39 weeks though.
36 weeks
eeh.. my doctor said the same thing when i was pregnant with my daughter. I went into preterm at 26 weeks, they stopped it, then at 36 weeks i started dialating. i was 50% and 1 cm.but i stayed that way from 36 weeks to 41.1 weeks.good luck :O)
Not unless it was life threatening either for you or for the baby. Most doctors wait until at least 38 to 39 weeks before they will induce. Some wait until after 40 weeks, but thankfully mine is not one of them... :)
It is okay for a person to eat pinapple at 36 weeks. The only thought is that is could cause you to go into labor, although this is not always the case. Canned pineapple will not do this to you though.
36 months
You could go into labout tomorrow or you may have to wait 3-4 weeks, there is no way of telling.
No it will not induce you if you are not dilated first. I tried it at 36 weeks and nothing happened, not even the runs. ("Thank god) I am 37 weeks on Tuesday and am now dilated 1 and 50% effaced. So I just took 2 tablespoons of the castor oil. It has only been a hour but so far nothing has happened. I am crossing my fingers though.
Being that there are 52 weeks in a year and 36 months is three years, the answer is 156 weeks.
36 weeks is considered premature. 37-42 weeks is generally accepted as a healthy term.
