On some of the high resolutions imagery (probably aerial) you can make out the shapes of large sharks and whales. Much of such imagery is taken near the shore and beaches.
There are also many examples of KML with multi-media content (video and imagery) of sea animals geo-located in the part of the ocean where they are found. Enable the 'Ocean Layer' and/or its sub-layers in Google Earth. Includes Cousteau Ocean World and Ocean Animal Tracking.
Frank Taylor, founder and publisher of Google Earth Blog, traveled by sailboat on a round-the-world trip called the Tahina Expedition. They have a detailed blog and Google Earth tour of that expedition with links to photos including dolphins, manta rays, and many fish seen in his dives.
