No, a private messaging application must be told an exact address(username) to be distributed to. usernames are just a code of letters put together with an hidden extension that identifies the host site. That is why you can have the same username on multiple messaging apps. So if you send an IM to a username it gets crossed through a chat server and it decodes it down to your specific ISP info. Thus, it is sent directly to your pc. To be simple, you'd have to know every single username in the world to send them one!

Here is one way, click the first person on your buddy list, then hold shift and click the last person, that should hilite everyone in between. right click and select send message
