How can you take care of a child if you don't want an abortion? |
Coping Issues Pregnant Mom vs. Abortion
There is no right or wrong answer in this case. I am assuming that you already have 1 child and are pregnant with another and you are concerned with raising the first one without having to go through an abortion.
It would be unfair to you and your first born to bring a second child into the mix if you feel you will be unable to physically, financially and emotionally support them both.
If you have strong views against abortions, then putting your unborn child up for adoption is going to be the best option for everyone involved. This by no means is an easy solution and you will need to work with various organizations to try and locate a good adoptive family if possible without losing your child to the system.
Giving your unborn child the possibility of a good home and future and a couple who only want to show love to a child is the best you could ever do.
Answer
Well, I must say that you will be respected greatly by a lot of people for making the choice to not have an abortion but that doesn't mean it will be easy. If you are not wanting to give your baby up for adoption and you want to keep your baby you should ask for a lot of support from your family. If they don't seem to supportive maybe you should find another support group. There are several places that offer help to women who are taking care of a baby. If you are not working you should find a job that doesn't require a lot of physical activity and you should start scheduling baby showers and request things that you will actually need such as diapers and bottles etc instead of things to decorate your baby's room. You should also schedule and appointment with an Ob/Gyn (an obtain insurance if you don't already have some). Find a childbirth class and get signed up. Start exercising and taking folic acid. Cut back on caffeine and try to get a healthy diet and quit and alcohol or nicotine use. Good luck!
