[Edit]

Signs Of Being Taken Advantage Of:

  • When an individual in your life doesn't give you the respect you give them.
  • If they break dates to meet for lunch, go to a movie, etc. (this includes friends.)
  • If they are always borrowing or asking for money from you.
  • If you are close friends or mates and they don't remember your birthday or celebrate other events that should be special to both of you.
  • If they promise to turn up, but don't and don't phone you to let you know that they won't be there. The are not considerate of your time and feelings.
  • When they are constantly putting you down such as calling you names or making you feel below the level they feel they are at.
  • When they lie to you or about you.

These are a few. If someone makes you feel more miserable and depressed than happy when you are around them then they are not worth having as a mate or friend.
