How do you know if beats by dre solo headphones are fake or real?

The fake monster beats by dr.dre studios box is darker than the real one and the sound is worse than the orginal.
The touring case is made with cheaper material
If u are planning to get the beat by dre studios by them from an authorzied retail store, such as best buy, Apple store, Monster, future shop or HMV

∙ 10y agoQuite easily, some Beats by Dre solos don't have a tightening feature which is one of the easy ways to find out. Also, some stupid manufacturers put an 's' where the 'b' Beats logo is on the side.
Sometimes the ear cushions are not bouncy like the real cushions are. This is easy to tell if you just prod it, then your finger should go into the cushion about a half of your finger nail on your index finger.
Also, some fakes have cords from both headphone cups. This is wrong as there should only be one protruding from the left side of the headphones.

∙ 11y agoThe difference between counterfeit and authentic Beats by Dr. Dre headphones is the quality and price. Counterfeit headphones have a lower quality which allows them to be sold at a lower price.

∙ 11y agoLook inside the battery case and see if there is a serial number and Dr. Dre's signature. Call Monster to see if the serial number really exists.
On the box, if you can see Dr. Dre's neck in the picture, and if it is bright and clear, then it is probably real. Imitators have a hard time imitating that particular picture.

∙ 11y agoIf this worries you, you're probably a moron. Buy your headphones, try them out, and if you're not satisfied buy different ones. Care about the quality of the headphones, not if they are fake or real or whatever.
