Unless the guy has bionic sperm or something, it is not possible to get pregnant with your tubes tied.

Actually you are completely wrong with with your diagnosis. You can get pregnant if your tubes are tied and it's called an Ectopic pregnancy.

Only your doctor can tell you for sure.

AnswerI was afraid I was having a tubal pregnancy so I looked online. I found out that if you're bleeding a lot and cramping a lot on one side of your stomach that could mean you either have an eptopic pregnancy or are miscarrying. The only way to tell for sure is to go to your doctor for an ultrasound.

If you are bleeding and you're still in the first few weeks, my doctor said that's normal it's just implantation blood or something. But better to be safe than sorry.

AnswerA tubal pregnancy is excruciatingly painful and (usually) one sided. May be thought to be appendicitis if on the right. Not always any bleeding visible as you may bleed back into the abdomen.

It is potentially fatal so if you think you may have one go to the Emergency department, it might save your life.

An ectopic pregnancy is usually detected between 5 and 8 weeks after conception.

Early signs include:

- Pain and discomfort, usually mild.

- Pain in the lower abdomen (feeling of strong stomach pain, or a strong cramp).

- Pain while urinating and while having a bowel movement.

- Vaginal bleeding, usually mild.

tubal pregnancy is also referred to as ectopic pregnancy but this pregnancy is not always straightforward to diagnose, but you should look out for:

  1. A missed or late period.
  2. A positive urine pregnancy test.
  3. Abdominal pain - this can be persistent and severe. It may be on one side only, but not necessarily on the side where the ectopic is.
  4. Shoulder tip pain.
  5. Abnormal bleeding - this may be lighter or heavier than a normal period, and more prolonged. This bleeding is often dark in colour & watery (similar to Prune Juice).
  6. Diarrhoea or sometimes pain when opening the bowels.
  7. Fainting, or feeling dizzy or light headed

Can you have a successful pregnancy if you have had tubal pregnancy?

Absolutely! If your tube was damaged during the tubal pregnancy you may experience some trouble conceiving, however carrying a pregnancy to term after an ectopic pregnancy should not be a problem. Not every tubal pregnancy will irreconcilably damage a fallopian tube. If one of your fallopian tube has been severed due to a tubal pregnancy then you still have another one to rely on. If you have had two irreconcilably damaged fallopian tubes then you are going to need surgical help in getting a viable egg to your womb.
