If it appears wilted, I would suspect under-watering or a number of wilt diseases.

Tomato plants should be "deep" watered. That is, watered at the base of the plant with enough water to saturate the deep roots. Never water from overhead or with a sprinkler, as these plants are subject to diseases that grow in humid conditions, such as blight.

As mentioned above, there are also a number of "wilt" diseases. Your variety may or may not be susceptible to some or all of these. Please see the link referenced below.

When this happens the best thing to due is to stop the water for about 1 week then water lightly after that. If you try to remove the plant you are taking a big risk for injuring the roots which can kill the plant.

Will cacti grow better if it is watered more or less?

It depends upon the type of cactus, the season, and the environment. But generally, cactus plants grow better if they're watered less. Generally, they should be watered only when their soil is almost but not completely dry. That's during the growing season. During dormancy, they shouldn't be watered at all. Most plants don't like to be non stop waterlogged or wet. Overwatering damages plant tissue and encourages fungal problems such as stem base rot. Overwatering and waterlogging can be avoided by using a moisture meter, to tell when moisture is almost completely absent from soil. It's at that point that the cactus plant needs water, during the growing season.
