You can judge the age of a river by the erosion it has made in the geography of the land, such as the Snake river and Colorado river has cut canyons into the earth. New rivers are more turbulant because they havent had the time to smoothen the rocks and terrain it flows over.

What is the difference between old river and new river?

You can judge the age of a river by the erosion it has made in the geography of the land, for example such as the Snake river and Colorado river has cut canyons into the earth. New rivers are more turbulant because they haven't had the time to smoothen the rocks and terrain it flows over. An old river will be dirty and have less living creatures because some would be dying and a new river would have more new living creatures. If the river is young meaning (new) it would be steep in places and wouldn't meander meaning (curve). Old rivers are completely flat and do have meanders.
