How can you tell what graphics card is in my laptop?

If you have a mac, click the apple icon and press about this mac, and then click more info. If you have a pc, look on the box it came in. Improved answer Most laptop computers dont have plug-in graphics cards. They are usually on-board "cards" with processors made by the usual companies. Most have SiS chipsets which make them anything but good for things like games. If you are running windows you can find out more about your particular machines graphics chip by selecting the start menu. Open the Control Panel from the list, select "system", then "device manager". You will be presented with a list of all your computers hardware devices in categories. Select "Display adaptors" from the list. Under the heading "display adaptors" you will see a list of all the cards and / or chips your machine is currently using. Select "properties" and you will be given a box containing more information on the card / chip.
