Sometimes shoeing can help mild cases. Some medicines say they cure the disease, but I am not familiar with them. My horse has the disease, and he has special shoes from the farrier. Medical professionals are yet to find a "cure". Keep work to a moderate level, try not to jump the horse or do much work that will put stress on the hoof. (Barrel racing, pole bending, and cutting are a few to watch out for.) Everything depends on the severity in your horse.
