Yeast can be treated regardless of the source of infection.
However the treament varies with location of the infection. Since there is no mention of the location the "how" is a mystery.
If the infection is in tissue for which there is an established, over the counter, medication the treatment is straight forward, otherwise a trip to the clinic and a doctor's Rx will be required.
There is no such thing as a urinary yeast infection, but your dog can get a urinary tract infection. As for yeast infections, I'm not sure.
Penicillin doesn't treat yeast infections, and you want to talk to you vet before giving your dog "human" meds... they have different metabolism than we do, and things that are safe for us are not safe for them.
