I'm not a doctor (not even medically trained), I'm looking for more info myself. But what I have found and am fairly confident is 100% correct is that there are some "first steps" to unclogging your arteries, if indeed it's possible.

1. Drop hydrogenated oils. Always read the label of everything you put in your mouth (treat eating foods with unknown ingredients with the same shame as letting kids talk to strangers). Basically, drop all shelf-safe snack foods and greasy side foods like fries, and pay a little extra money on fresh snack foods (vegetables and fruits) instead.

2. Consume plenty good fats, like fish oil and walnuts.

3. Get. Off. Your. Butt! Get your heart pounding EVERY DAY with at least 30 minutes of rigorous cardiovascular exercise such as jogging or cycling.

I'm an overweight computer software programmer and at the age of 32 I've been getting strange dizzy spells where I think I'm going to faint. I've confirmed from my doctor that the only notable problem to be seen from blood tests is that I seem to have high cholesterol. High cholesterol is caused by being overweight,that strike through is wrong... just cause your fat doesnt mean you will have high chorlesterol. Cholesterol is either from genes or the food we eat or from not excercising...I know over weight people who have a perfect cholesterol count. Ok, now carry on... not getting enough exercise, and not eating the proper foods. In my case, it's at least 80% an exercise issue, I am certain, because until recently the only exercise I was getting was the walk between my living room to the car, and from the car to the office where I work, and then the return "trip".

I just had a 30 minute ride on a bicycle. If I do this every day, and choose my foods carefully, and consume fish oil, walnuts, vitamins B6, B12, and folic acid, and standard vitamins (Centrum), then if it's not too late I am confident that I'll be okay.

Otherwise, I'll be a 30-something stroke victim before I know it. Scary stuff.

This condition requires continuous medication. (Blood thinners) . Usually and obviously you must avoid saturated fats, excess of carbs, mainly sugar.
