You should be able to purchase an adapter at your local Radio Shack or equal. The problem you will run into is the pixels(amount of dots per inch)in a computer monitor are double that of a TV. Due to this fact, the text will appear fuzzy.OK for games though. Good luck.

get a device called a "scan converter"

if you have a video cards with video out it should be easy to hook up. check your card and manual.

my travel desktop has a geforce 2mx 400 it will do duel display in windows but wont display on boot unless i have no monitor connected to the vga it then detects no vga and switchs over to TV out. your exp my vary.

Look at your electronics store for a 'TV-out' card. This will probably be a PCI card which you will need to install inside in your computer. You can then hook up your TV's cable to the back of the card.

First, the connections: If your PC has a VGA connector as the display output, you need to look for a VGA connector on the back of the television. Sometimes, you might find 5 separate connectors marked as RGBHV instead, but the VGA connector is most common. If your PC has a dVI connector, look on the television for a DVI or HDMI connector. Either of them will work with the right interconnecting cable. Next, the resolution: Find out the native resolution of the television. You need to set the PC output to the same resolution if you are to get the best image quality. Most displays will scale other resolutions to fit the screen but there is an obvious loss of quality when they do so. If need be, look at obtaining a new video card for the computer - they don't cost a lot these days.

Many new computers have either a DVI or an HDMI display port. These are the digital replacements to the 15 pin VGA connector that has been around for many years.

Almost all new televisions have an HDMI input. If the computer has an HDMI output, then a simple HDMI cable should carry both video and audio to the television.

If the computer has a DVI output, a DVI to HDMI cable can be used because the video element of HDMI is identical to the DVI signal. Unfortunately, DVI does not support audio so a separate cable will be needed for the audio signal. Because of the lack of audio support on DVI, most televisions have at least one HDMI input that has a separate analog audio input that is linked to the HDMI port.

Finally, there are a number of televisions that have VGA inputs and can accept VGA directly. Others have a set of five RCA or phono sockets normally marked as R, G, B, H, V. The five connectors will normally handle a VGA signal with the right adaptor cable.

There are two ways, either with or without a wire. With a wire, Use either an HDMI, VGA, or an SVIDEO cable to plug into the computer and the tv (choose the one that both your computer and your tv has, or buy an adapter/converter to meet requirements). For sound, HDMI takes care of this, but the other two need another cable that plugs into your computers headphone port. Without a wire, you can use Intel WIDI to connect to a special netgear adapter, which plugs into the TV but then wireless communicats with your computer.
