There are many good places to start. It depends on what you want to have in your paper and what your views are on the subject. Remember also that some teachers are predisposed to a certain view and will not tolerate anything outside their opinion. You would not want to get a failing grade by pointing out issues that your teacher will not listen to.
If your teacher is neutral or open minded enough to listen to all data and viewpoints, I would start by pointing out that this warming trend, according to almost all science experts started thousands of years ago, long before the start of the industrial revolution. (The Vostok glacial data shows this very well.) If your teacher has a strong view on man being the issue, you may wish to stick with the more politically correct sites.
In any event. Look at as much data from actual science sites as you can. Look at sites by the climate science experts themselves. Dr. Roy Spencer is one of many. Look at both sides of the issue too. Do not be suckered in by either side until you have reviewed the information out there.
Remember that this is about a grade, not collecting all the real information you can. Some teachers are not very open minded, so make sure the report fits their view, not yours. You may be right, but many people have received failing grades even though they were right. Tailor the report for your teacher's beliefs. But keep your mind open to the facts. The report may be only the tip of the iceberg of what you will learn on the subject.
You get a thermometer and check the temperature. Take a record of that temperature and if possible, take it at different locations of the earth. Then after that, you should proceed with a wait of 2 to 5 years and measure the temperature at exactly the same locations as before. If it's hotter, this means the globe is becoming hotter (as a result of an increase in greenhouse gases) and may end up exploding.
By gathering the facts and presenting them in a clear manner.
The Changes in climate of a certain area is an example of an investigatory project for global warming. Irregular climate and weather patterns is another example of the investigatory projects for global warming.
There is practically no connection between plate tectonics, air pollution and global warming.

True global warming does not decrease temperatures. So, either the model for global warming's effects is hokus-pokus, or global warming as presently claimed, does not exist. Some global warming followers will have you believe that global warming makes the weather "act crazy". If true, then it is not really global warming, is it.
The name says it "GLOBAL" warming.

No. Global warming after the last ice age was a very slow process, over thousands of years, unlike the present warming, which is happening very quickly.
