Cats paws are just as clean as people's feet. Cats are always grooming themselves and that also includes their claws (they pick at their claws with their teeth.) Cats should not be bathed unless they have had an accident such as diarrhea (clean the rear with warm soapy water) or they have gotten into something sticky and need to be bathed. If it's not all that messy on their fur then use warm, soapy water on a washcloth and rub it out and then dry them with a clean towel. This previous method is only needed if the cat could get sick on whatever is on their fur such as oil or any sort.

Cats like to keep themselves clean, but most do shed hair. They will sometimes scatter sand from their litter box, and humans don't consider that to be "clean." A cat that is sick or very old may be unable to fully clean part or all of its body and will have a scruffy look.

I would have to say that a cat's tongue isn't the cleanest thing ever. To get an exact answer, you should research this on a more professional site. I think a cat's tongue would be very dirty, indeed. The dirty I am talking about is unclean; unsanitary. This is a very weird and unusual question, though. not many people would expect to hear this. But, whatever your reason is, I hope this helped out. Your Welcome! :)

Cats have to be clean as they do not like dirty coats.

Why the cat gets older, it will start to get a little messier with it's coat, but it will still try and wash itself. Cats clean there coats, cover there left behinds and first of all dig holes for it, they are really very tidy pets.

It is as clean as where its been... nasty... but truly it is cleaner than a dog's tongue, whatever that means. I think either way cats and dogs should keep their tongues to themselves.

Cats are very clean because if you notice cats they always lick themselves when they are dirty or even when they are not! So I can say cats are very clean animals.

Very! You will notice that they lick themselves often, usually after meals or after doing their business! Also, cats do not like to eat next to their litter box, for hygienic purposes.
