How could you complain about the type of programming on the TV or radio?

Answer:
Radio and TV stations are profit-driven businesses, in business for the purpose of
making money just like any other business. The most effective way to have your
complaint taken seriously is to write your letter to the companies that advertise
(run commercials) on the station that runs the objectionable programming, and
send a copy of your letter to the station management.

The advertisers take it seriously, because they don't want their product to be
associated with offensive material. And the radio/TV station takes it seriously
because they don't want to lose advertisers.
