That really depends on what state you live in, there are different laws. "statutes of limitations" In some states you only have a certain amount of time to report abuse, but in others there is no time limit. the best way to find out for sure is to go to your local district attorneies office and speak with someone they will know if you still have time and what to do.usually they would want a rape kit but since this abuse happened before this will be a "he said she said thing" if it makes it to court both parties, you, the victim, and this other person, the abuser, will have to both testify underoath as to what happened in front of a jury of 12 of your peers and a county judge, they will ultimately determine what happens. Unfortunately, if you can find other people who were abused that would give you a better chance at justice. If you could get the abuser to admit he did this,that would be a plus. I am so sorry that this happened to you or to any others. These vile beings need to be eradicated from the same earth as we but unfortunately, they have rights, which I will never understand. I have said for a long time they need to be branded right on their forheads with a big M, for molester, so that all can see what a piece of crap they are.
