It is not particularly dangerous to drive a car with a blown head gasket other than the fact that eventually it is going to refuse to run. This is because there will be so much water vapor entering the cylinders that combustion will be impossible. Of course if you are driving a big ole eight banger, with only one cylinder blown, you can probably chug along forever, backfiring and spitting steam out the tail pipe and getting 3 miles to the gallon (very expensive).
With a four cylinder car (most of today's cars), water in a cylinder or two pretty much means walking to work until you get the gasket replaced.
It is not wise to drive with a blown head gasket. If you continue driving with a blown gasket, eventually your car will over heat and the engine will seize up. This can cause accidents if it occurs while driving.
you dont, you will kill the engin!
Sure you CAN, but if you do continue to run an engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine. Do not run any engine with a blown head gasket or you will be buying a new engine.
In some cases, a car with a blown head gasket can be driven. However, it can lead to some bigger car problems down the line.
You can drive it for as long as pie tastes good!
no it is not ok to drive with it blown u can damage more things then just the head
Because the head gasket is blown.
what are you asking here? PLease be more specific ...like - how do I know if my head gasket is blown, or what do I do about a blown head gasket ......
Sure it will start with a blown head gasket. But, if you continue to run this engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine.
No it will not. The only thing that will fix a blown head gasket is to replace the gasket.
Do not drive this car. Repair immediately. Blown head gasket or cracked head.
Every minute you drive a vehicle with a blown head gasket there is just that more severe internal engine damage. Drive it long enough and you will be buying a new engine or at the very least having this one completely rebuilt.
