well for one, her research lead to one of the most effective ways for cancer treatment, and she and her husband also invited 2 of the elements, raduim and polouim. & if it was not for her theorys, there would not be any xrays, good luck telling if you have a broken arm, or dying of cancer without marie curie .

Marie Curie discovered radium which now is used for x-rays. Without radium, then you wouldn't know if your bones are broken or not which is quite serious.
