Best Answer

When the two sons of John Cadbury took over the company in 1861, they had many new ideas and visions for the future growth of the company. In 1878, they purchased land in Bournbrook, and had soon built Bournville, a chocolate factory as well as a village surrounding the factory to support the lives of the Cadbury employees. Most importantly, in 1905, after this move to Bournville, Cadbury released its Dairy Milk bar. This candy bar used a higher proportion of milk than all other chocolate bars at the time, and it became the foundation for all Cadbury chocolate. To this day, Cadbury Dairy Milk bars are the top-selling candy produced by the company.
