The initial indication is that it did not impress independent voters, but provided a bump in the Republican base. The speech was written for her and it's unclear how that will impact people who were initially impressed. == == ---- == == I don't think it will do anything. Sarah Palin can speak in public--pageant contestants are trained to. But she's got some really extreme views, starting with her belief that the Birth Control pill is a form of abortion. She's also somewhat corrupt--she fired the commissioner of the Alaska Department of Public Safety because he wouldn't fire her sister's ex-husband. Women are smart enough to realize Sarah Palin isn't on their side. ---- I have no idea how it will play with all women, but I do know one thing, this woman is very smart and she should win over a lot of people, not just women
