Why did Spike fall in love with Buffy?

They FIRST Kissed under a magical spell in "Something Blue" when they thought they were in love and going to get married.

Later She also (not under ANY magical influence) gives him a short sweet meaningful kiss for not telling Glory about Dawn being the key and taking a very bad beating while not giving up who the Key was also I have to add.

THEN a very long passionate kiss as another person said below at the end of the musical episode. (but she does say/sing right before kissing him at the end of - Once More With Feeling- that "this isn't real but I just Want To Feel") so it is misleading as to whether she means it or not, but as any Buffy & Spike fan knows, she already had feelings for him at this point.

I think its the end of season five.

I believe it was somewhere in Season 7. During Season 5, she was disturbed and disgusted by Spike's fixiation with her, but started to like him more towards the end. Season 6 was just a train wreck. Sexual attraction definitely but she did use him for sex to make herself feel better and than the whole attempted rape thing happened. Season 7 was way better and they developed a more meaningful bond and that's when she really fell in love with him. The way Spuffy should be. ^_^

well to put it in simple form,

spike started having dreams about Buffy,but not ordinary dreams i mean real hot dreams and then he started being nice to her and started falling in love with her for real and then Buffy started falling in love with him and blah, blah,blah......

and then they eventually become something like boyfriend and girlfriend.

so there you go that,in my version of simplest form, is how spike fell in love with Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Spike first expresses feelings for Buffy during early season 5, but Buffy is with Riley and openly rejects the idea of a relationship with Spike.

In season 6, after her resurrection, she bonds more closely with Spike, confiding in him and trusting more fully than many of her other friends.

In the musical episode "Once More, With Feeling" (S06E07), Spike openly expresses his feelings to Buffy, and though she initially rejects him again, the episode ends with the two kissing for the first time. A few episodes later, in "Smashed" (S06E09) Spike realizes that since she has died, he is able to hurt Buffy, while Buffy discovers that she enjoys the pain, and the two have sex for the first time. The relationship does not last long, however, and Spike ends up leaving Sunnydale to try and re-acquire his soul.

He returns during season 7, and near the end of that season, he and Buffy appear to settle the nature of their relationship. In the last act of the series finale ("Chosen"), Buffy finally admits to Spike that she loves him (though it's unclear if she was sincere or merely lying to Spike, who was about to die.)
