i believe it effects every one in the world, WW1 Was a major event , the events before hand, such as Civil wars, Slavery, ancient tribes, they are all part of it, WW1 was a war on;
Arms race
Plans, distrust, and mobilization
Militarism and autocracy
Balance of power
Economic imperialism
Trade barriers
Ethnic and political rivalries
The effects on the US and the world, were what we have now, constant problems and threats on exactly what WW1 Was Started on, not that there will be another war, basiclly, there will always be 1)Trust issue's 2) Arms Races 3) Terrorism ect
.....so WW1 Did not make anything better, it didn't change anything, it helped some aspects, but also caused WW2, Which was Biological And Chemical Warfare.
