blink-182 was originally named duck tape, but then tom said that blink sounded cool. they took that name but then had to add -182 because there was an irish/techno band named blink and they were threatening to sue. they just pulled the 182 out of their a$$, and then came up with cool reasons for it. 4 realz, u can read it in The Urethra Chronicals.
