China's landscape is very complex. There are the giant Himalayan Mountains (where Mt. Everest is located) and lowlands/grasslands. There's the Yellow River and the Gobi desert. There are rice farms and harbors.
Both, but far more portraits than landscapes.
Because he felt like painting it. Why else?
From his head! Maybe his love for travel had influence him to paint landscape paintings. But as you can see on his paintings, there is a love for nature.
Karin's art teacher asked that she paint with the canvas landscape style, but she forgot and painted it with portrait instead.-Sakura K.
