How did john Hancock affect the history of the United states?

Answer:
He signed his name the biggest on the Declaration of Independence, causing a threat to the man who would be reading it because he needed glasses (the king of england) because it was saying that John wasn't afraid of him whether or not he had his glasses because he would be able to reads it. And it took a lot of courage to do that, cause he was risking his life.
