When Peter was a baby, he overheard his parents talking about how he would one day become a "man", and didn't like the sound of that. So he escaped to Kensington Gardens (a nearby park), where he was taken in by the birds and the fairies.

∙ 12y agobefore peter met tink in kensington gardens, he was being raised by a man named jimmy, who raised him and slightly to be pick pockets. jimmy is really hook who later when they all arrive in neverland is persuaded to join the pirates by money and a women in the crew. peter and him become rivals when peter learns jimmy killed peter's real father, and that he was the one who told them to have another child after peter dissapeared. the other child was what led peter to want to never grow up in the first place. hope this helped. :)
