Pimp C died of an overdoes of
Sizzurp (search on google) and of a condition known as
sleep apnea, which causes a person to stop breathing during sleep.
TRUE UGK fans know all too well that although Pimp C did in fact have a major drug and alcohol problem in his past, however, on their last album he made it clear that was in his past. Unfortunately, we also know that both drugs and alcohol have lasting effects and sadly.
The L.A. County Coroner says that Pimp C died from an accidental overdose of Promethazine/Codeine cough syrup that mixed with a pre-existing sleep apnea condition. Sleep apnea causes a person to stop breathing while asleep. The sufferer usually wakes up and resumes breathing but in this case the sleep-inducing effects of the codine kept that from happening.
