The Emancipation Proclimation affected the North and the South in more than one way. The South had to let all of their slaves free which lead to a decrease in plantations, factories, and such, and the North didn't have to worry about returing slaves to the South just to be treated like the dirt they were tending to. The slaves were now set free to do as they please, but, they didn't know any other life than working for the white man, so many continued working for their former owners. More of the white men had to work in the fields and factories because many slaves chose to live on their own. I hope I answered your question! :-)

the emancipation proclamation affected north and south because south had to free there slaves and more people that was in the south had to come to the north for the freedom but the were used to get feed by there master (owner)so when the told them they had to work they didnt no how to get a job. north had to go get them job

the proclamation didnt free the slaves, because Lincoln had no power over the confederacy but it caused England and France to rethink their support of the confederacy, since it wouldnt look good for them to back a country that supported slavery.
