T he Constitutional Convention dealt with three issues of equality: equality of the states, slavery, and political equality. Equality of the states was about how states should be represented, whether through each states gets one vote or proportional representation. The Constitutional Convention solved this issues with the Connecticut Compromise. In the Compromise, the Senate had equal representation and the House had proportional representation. On the issue of slavery, the framers basicallly ignored the moral issues of slavery and decided to count each slave a 3/5 of a person for proportional representation in the House. Political equality was about who should have sufferage. The Convention decided to let the states decide who would be allowed to vote. The Constitutional Convention successfully dealt with the issues of equality of the states and came up with a viable solution to the problem. However, the framers basically ignored the other issues and either let the states or future generations decide and were unsuccessful in compromising.
