How did the great depression effect men and their families?

Answer:
Men were hurt psychologically more than women, since their families depended on them, they felt humiliated asking for help, some men even left their families.
Women were not expected to do much, and they were looked down upon because they took jobs from men, some women even took up prostitution as a way to stay alive.
Children as young as 10 years old had to leave school to find jobs, often in factories at reduced wages.

Hope this helped ;D
