How did the orangutans become endangered?

Answer:
People are illegally buying them or trapping them into cages to sell to zoos, pet stores, or orangutan eaters or illegally keeping them.
Its all because of the palm oil plantation, people create them making sure that they are dying out. The male orangutans don't have anywhere to sleep because the palm trees are the only trees that can support their weight of 118kg, this means there are less male orangutans around because either they sleep on the ground and are killed or they find another tree and it breaks and they fall out and die.
Poachers also try to kill them , they also drag baby orangutans away from their mothers (which is tight and cruel). They also slaughter the baby orangutan's mothers, they cut down the trees which is taking away their habitat :( we should do something about it and help
