How did the plague disappear?

Answer:
The Plague 'disappeared' in 1666 when the fleas on the rats were killed in The Great Fire of London. The plague hasn't been completely been eradicated though, as some scientists in the US are doing tests on the disease, but they have to be very careful because if they let it back out into the open, the human species could die out.
