Victorians travelled by bicycles, the penny farthing was a popular choice, it's front wheel was six feet high and had a smaller back wheel, it also didn't have any brakes !!, the wealthier Victorians had the first motor vehicles, a man would have to walk in front waving a red flag as a warning, steam trains and steam boats were popular for long journeys, the horse and carriage was still used and trams were used as public transport much like buses are used today.
