A Christian celebration of marriage is not unlike the Jewish celebrations infact since Jesus was Jewish Christianity was introduced to those who were not of Jewish background and this is why we have christian Jewish people who accept all the first five books of the bible aswell as the new testament. Marriage was then and still today was celebrated with a banquet food, music, celebrations, and words of encuragement from friends and family wishing the marriage well and blessings upon the bride and groom. Gifts are presented to the married couple such as cards, money, vacation tickets, properties if they have it to give.
